Ah Alvin, your story reminds me of the time I once dated this young lady whose proportions might not have been as divinely gifted as your Alisa, but with whom I was very much enamoured.

The food that night was inspired. The wine flowed. My jokes got progressively better -- or maybe her humour got progressively worse. Whatever the case, the date was going well, the playful touches were becoming more frequent, the gazes more insistent. And when I walked out of that restaurant with her hanging on to my arm, I too felt the "whoosh" of neighbouring heads turn.

We stepped out into the cool night. She laid her head on my shoulder. Despite the drink, I felt that familiar rush - that we men are all too aware of - as the circulatory system redistributed blood from the digesting stomach and brain away to.. more primal functions.

Then she whispered in my ear, "You know, Hitler should have finished off all the Jews."

Needless to say, I was very confused.

But I think I did right by the slain Jews by not following through.

That was a very strange night indeed.
