Consistently, yes. Daily, I think it depends.

Some people get burned out trying to do this because they just can't fit in the time to write daily around their schedule, yet they think they must do it to succeed.

And some others just can't sustain reader interest by publishing daily stories. I used to follow a guy who thought he needed to pubish daily, but stopped folloiwng him when he started pushing out stories like "how I went to IKEA today" and "how things went at my job today", which I just wasn't very interested in. He wrote a lot better when he kept it at once a week.

You have to find a schedule that works for you, I think. If you can manage daily, great. If it's once a week, that's fine too (I'm happy with twice a week). But I think if you're taking longer and longer to write an article, the final article had better be really good to sustain interest. :)

Medium's new CEO, Tony Stubblebine, wrote a 75-minute long article (I think) over many months that saw huge reads because it was that well-written.
