I haven't posted a THING on my LinkedIn. That's where I got super lucky, I feel. I don't know how some clients stumbled upon me, but they did, and I've had recurring business from them for years.

I used to have a client - a lawyer - who was a friend of someone I met on one of those online dating sites. We never dated, but we stayed friends, and she recommended a lawyer who was looking for people to do commercial due diligence projects for her clients because she didn't provide that service. That client's sort of faded away into the distance but it made me realise that lawyers are a great source of contacts if you can access them.
