Oh God, you have no idea how much this resonated with me. I grew up in a small seaside town for 16 years. I hated it so much but it was all I knew until the day I left my hometown to continue my studies in a different country (England). January 2nd 1996. I still remember that day as one of the happiest in my life.

Funny how I had to travel more than 6,000 miles to figure out that it wasn't me, it was the place!
