Question off the top of my head: if immunological imprinting is contributing to variants like XBB.1.5 spreading in populations with high rates of vaccination against the Wuhan strain, what is stopping XBB.1.5 infecting these populations again and again since people are unable to mount a robust immune response specific to this variant?
