Truthfully, I oscillate between the two. I can't be in content creator mode forever because it starts to feel like I'm just churning them out industrially. But I can't be in artist mode all the time either as I'll start to worry about paying the bills.

My natural predilection leans towards "artist mode." I couldn't wait to start focussing more on artist mode pieces as soon as I had one viral content piece on Medium generating decent member read times daily. :)
