What you have said betrays the complete arrogance and disdain that some Americans have of the rest of the world and why we are wary about your motives.

You like to come in, stir up the pot, bringing the detritus up to the surface, and when the inevitable problems happen, throw up your hands, leave, and ask people to “grow up” and fix their problems. Which you stirred up in the first place.

This is exactly what you did in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Indonesia, to name just a few. And, in the last case, it took them nearly TWO GENERATIONS to undo the traumas from the dictator that America foisted on them (Soeharto).

Either don’t get involved AT ALL or finish the job. It’s this half-in half-out nonsense that’s causing so much trouble.
