Xu Xu, like many third/fourth generation Chinese migrants in Malaysia, my forebears came from Guangdong. Most of the Chinese cuisines in Malaysia reflect an origin from either Guangdong or Fujian, so Peking duck is something I've only had in elevated restaurants but I've never had salted duck! :)

We like our duck roasted here, chopped up and served on a bed of rice with roast pork and/or barbecued pork (cha siu in Cantonese). We have salted chicken too as we have a sizable Kejia community, but not salted duck.
