Yup, I think there's a larger business lesson to be learned here too. Airlines are a terrible business because they have massive capital requirements and are highly cyclical in nature - when there's a recession or a pandemic, they all get hit hard. Finally, there are the countries who spoil the game by throwing unlimited amounts of money to build great airline brands without caring if they operate at a loss or not. Qatar Airways, Etihad, and Emirates spring to mind!
